Q: What does Organic mean?
A: Put simply, the item must have an ingredients list and the contents should be 95% or more certified organic, meaning free of synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents
Q: Are Pomona Fruit & Vegetable Juices gluten and casein free?
A: Yes. All of Pomona Organic Juices are gluten and casein free. No products are derived from wheat or other grains, and casein or from milk.
Q: Are Pomona Juices vegan?
A: Yes. Pomona juices do not contain animal products, derivatives, or animal by-products are used in any form in our organic fruit or vegetable juices.
Q: Which quality standards does Pomona adhere to?
A: Our production process meets all applicable USDA and FDA specifications and requirements. Product labeling meets all current USDA, FDA, and Organic Standards.
Q: How are Pomona fruit juices made?
A: All of our juices start only with fresh fruit. The fruit is picked, loaded, and transported to our processing plant. All fruits and vegetables are washed, graded, selected, and separated. The fruit is cold-pressed and the puree or juice is passed through a finisher to remove excess pulp, seeds, and skin. Finally, our juice is bottled, and vacuum-sealed in new, sterilized glass bottles.
Q: Do any of your Pomona products contain preservatives?
A: No, all of our juices are 100% Organic and contain no preservatives.
Q: What is the shelf life of Pomona juices?
A: We encourage our customers to maintain Pomona Juice Products in a cool or air-conditioned environment as all fruit juices will lose flavor and color if they are not properly stored and rotated. For long term storage we suggest a refrigerated environment. Fruit juices packed in glass bottles should not be frozen. Freezing will cause the vacuum seal to rupture, and the juice will ferment upon thawing. Because our fresh cold-pressed juices contain no preservatives, bottles that have been opened should be refrigerated and consumed within 2 weeks.
Q: Does Pomona use any artificial sweeteners in their juice products?
A: No, all of our juices are 100% Pure Organic, nothing added, nothing taken away.
Q: Quality Assurance information - BPA
A: At Pomona Organic, we use only the finest organic fruits and vegetables in our juices. We ensure that each variety is processed to high quality standards and consider all aspects of our product—including the concern surrounding BPA (bisphenol A), an industrial chemical compound used frequently in plastic bottles, food liners, and coatings. To ensure that Pomona Organic is 100% BPA-free, we opted for glass bottles and topped them with bottle caps that do not use any BPA.
Q: What are the particles found at the bottom of some of the Pomona organic juice bottles?
A: They are naturally-occurring particles that sometimes collect at the bottom of the bottle as the juice settles (often accelerated by chilling of the juice). The crystals are naturally found in fuits and vegetables. There is nothing harmful as this is completely natural. We choose not to filter these particles as they are part of the nutritional benefit of the product.
